Porsches and Parks Great Tour on www.motorsportreg.com
Looking for an unforgettable journey of a lifetime? Join the Porsche Club of San Diego as we take a week long tour of the Great Parks in Arizona and Utah. We will caravan through some of the most beautiful roads in the country as we explore some of the most amazing natural wonders of this part of the world, including the Grand Canyon, Canyonlands National Park, Arches National Park, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. Act fast as we only have 17 spots available!
The tour will begin on Monday, March 28, 2016 (one day after Easter Sunday). We will tour per the schedule below to finish on Sunday, April 3, 2016. Lodging for all 6 nights is included and as well as three breakfasts, two formal dinners and one cocktail mixer together along the way. For food not included in the cost of admission, your tour guides will find breakfast, lunch, and dinner spots for the group for each day, and you can either opt to join in and pay your way, or find your own eateries based on your preference, and your budget. We have worked hard to charge just enough to cover costs, and so we are only including the three breakfasts, two formal dinners and one cocktail mixer.
There will be plenty of hiking opportunities, and chances for you to explore on your own, or you can stay with the pack. Hiking of course, is optional.
Here's how the week will flow:
Day 1: Journey to Prescott, AZ. We will meet at The Pit Stop Diner in Oceanside, CA Once everyone has arrived, we will be on our way to Prescott, AZ... just recently named the US city with the cleanest air according to the American Lung Association! We will have a lovely dinner together in Prescott, as one of the two dinners included in the total trip costs.
Day 2: Journey to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Enjoy your included breakfast at the hotel before we leave Prescott then drive through Sedona up Oakcreek Canyon. We will stop and spend some time in Sedona. Then we will travel on to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We will spend the night at the north rim getting there before sunset so that we can watch the sunset.
Day 3: Explore Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, and Moab, Utah. Walk a little of the rim trail (Optional 2.0 hrs walk), then leave the trail for Antelope Canyon near Page AZ. We will continue on to Monticello, UT via Monument Valley. We will end our trek in Moab, Utah. We will have a hosted cocktail mixer this evening at the hotel.
Day 4: Canyonlands National Park, Arches National Park, Moab, Utah. Enjoy your included hot breakfast at the hotel. Then we drive to Canyonlands Natl Park's Island in the Sky and explore. Then we will head to Arches Natl Park and visit the park. We will spend the night in Moab, UT
Day 5: Escalante Staircase and Bryce Canyon. Enjoy an included hot breakfast at the hotel. Then we drive to Bryce, UT via Escalante Staircase. We will tour Bryce Canyon the rest of the day and spend the night in Bryce Canyon.
Day 6: Zion National Park. Drive to Springdale, UT. Tour Zion Natl Park. Optional hiking to Angels Landing and up the Narrows. Bring day hiking shoes and water shoes to hike in the water up the Narrows canyon. We will have our second dinner included in the trip costs here at Zion.
Day 7: Home sweet home... or Vegas, baby! Return to SD via Las Vegas. If you want to extend your trip, you can book your stay in Las Vegas separately. The rest of the tour will head home to San Diego.
The cost of the Weekend is $1700 per couple or $1500 for a single driver. (Single drivers~ contact Victoria for registration instructions.) Price includes the tour, 6 nights of lodging, three breakfasts, two nights of dinner, one cocktail mixer, entrance to all parks and an unforgettable experience!
